What We Do
Our mission is to prepare nutritious meals and deliver them to those in need in downtown Los Angeles.
Guided by the principles of the Missionaries of Charity we believe in Faith In Action. Brothers' Helpers prepares nutritious meals Monday through Friday evenings, and deliver those meals to those in need living on the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
Brothers' Helpers prepares, delivers and servers hot nutritious dinners at La Placita every week night Monday through Friday. Our prep and cooking locations are:
Mondays:
St. Bede the Venerable Venerable Catholic Church
1:00 - 5:30pm Cooks meet at hosting parish kitchen and prepare food
5:30 - 6:30pm Meals are packaged and transported
7:00 - 8:00pm Meals are served at La Placita.
Tuesdays:
Holy Redeemer Catholic Church
3:00 - 5:30pm Cooks meet at hosting parish kitchen and prepare food
5:30 - 6:30pm Meals are packaged and transported
7:00 - 8:00pm Meals are served at La Placita.
Wednesdays:
La Canada Presbyterian Church
3:00 - 5:30pm Cooks meet at hosting parish kitchen and prepare food
5:30 - 6:30pm Meals are packaged and transported
7:00 - 8:00pm Meals are served at La Placita.
Thursdays:
St. James the Less Catholic Church
3:00 - 5:30pm Cooks meet at hosting parish kitchen and prepare food
5:30 - 6:30pm Meals are packaged and transported
7:00 - 8:00pm Meals are served at La Placita.
Fridays:
Our Lady Queen of Angels "La Placita" Catholic Church
Meals are prepared on site at La Placita by their volunteers
5:00 - 6:00pm Meals are served at La Placita.
